The AP does have very specific agreements with commercial online services
and tailored feeds for each one.
AP has also recently drawn up guidelines for members' use of AP material
in their online services. We're experimenting as the newspapers are and
working out what would pricing structures would be equitable, not to
mention profitable, to both sides. It's a question of balancing need
to help members move ahead without losing our own franchise.
