Should be, could be. But so seldom is...
William, I must disagree! Seen from inside, communication is
communication,
art is art. 
Actually journalism is neither communication or art. It's a "kind" of
job
and you sell -both ways- targeted informations.
A better way to sell -a "god-seller" teaches- is to wear an ethical suit
and use a coloured envelope of words and demagogy (if it goes with the
stream of the moment).
In the New Media age, is to do the same. In digital.
