Keep in mind that SAR are in bed with Pseudo (Josh Harris's company]
Pseudo competes heavily with broadcast.com--but for a few million,
and better-connected friends, it could be them doing this IPO.
Or who knows?  Maybe they are _all_ in bed together (Pseudo is
known for their kinkiness, and they'd be the first to admit
it. ;)

Anyone know where broadcast.com pre-IPO funding came from?
My first guess would be just be a few degrees of separation
from everyone else in the Alley. Sure, they're from Texas,
but... their InterNIC records were ALL updated today or
yesterday, and if Mark Cohen (president, broadcast.com)
has spoken at Internet World, he's got to have some mutual
friends w/the Alley dwellers.

You should also question the impartiality and especially the motives 
behind ANYONE's press releases in this industry.  There's some
large number being bandied around this month about how the percentage 
of the world's capital engaged in speculation has never been higher.  
The stock market is just legalized gambling, except that gamblers know
in advance what the odds are, and certain industry insiders have a 
good chance at influencing the outcome of the dice roll.  (Unfortunately,
we all pay, in the form of macroeconomic aftershocks.)
