Court TV Online (www.courttv.com) is seeking an
associate editor. The ideal candidate will have at
least two years of full-time editing or reporting
experience for a news organization. Knowledge of
legal news a plus, but not a requirement. The
associate editor will select news stories for
publication, report and write about trials, edit
wire copy, and will be expected to generate their
own enterprise projects.
Work environment is fast-paced, pressured and free
of bureaucracy and hierarchy. However, we do not
have many of the extraneous perquisites many
larger organizations offer. (Sorry, no 18-hole
golf course at our midtown Manhattan "campus.")
Dilletantes, frustrated lawyers with no journalism
experience and web geeks need not apply. The job
is full-time. We do not pay travel costs for
out-of-town candidates, and we do not pay
relocation costs. Court TV's policy is to afford
