CNN'S CIA CONNECTION
Fired Producers Cry Foul
Five CIA operatives active during the Vietnam War were used to
investigate the veracity of CNN's story about a CIA-approved mission in
Laos during that war.

"We didn't know that they used CIA officials," said April Oliver, one of
the CNN producers sacked in the wake of CNN's retraction of the Tailwind
story. "Those officials would have a vested interest in not confirming
what we had found."
