Admittedly lots of people just want to convert Excel spreadsheets to HTML
tables, but there are also several plug-ins that work wonders when displaying
Excel files. One of them is Formula One/Net from Visual Comp
(www.visualcomp.com) and another KeyView from FTP Software (www.ftp.com). These
work great if you don't want to do any conversions on your side, but still want
people to see the contents of your files.

In the case of Formula One, you can even set up spreadsheets as forms, then use
the forms to have the browsing visitor input data through the use of the
plug-in. If you work on an Intranet these things are fantastic, since they also
prevent people from changing things, unlike when you pass around a file.
Installation for the user for both products takes about 2 minutes, and two
clicks.

If you want more info on plug-ins check out SuperCharged Web Browsers @
amazon.com,
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1886801045/002-2724957-9718240. You'd be
amazed at what you can do with them, and how easy they are to implement.
