Dear Max:

Identity is immaterial to the suitability of inquiries posted. The
questions stand or fall on their own merit. Certainly, the four questions
asked were direct and honest.

Not all journalists whose work comes under fire are afforded the courtesy
of a rebuttal hosting or webcast by Freedom Forum. So naturally, one
wonders how the selection of deserving candidates is accomplished.

Does your "mission" extend to all journalists whose integrity is
questioned; or to selected examples only?

>You, of course, are welcome to draw any conclusions you wish to draw from

Your generosity overwhelms.

>P.S. ...I still wish you would openly do all of us the courtesy of openly

I have discuussed this issue with Steve Outings, the list owner, since the
list's earliest days. He has never made the demands upon me that you feel
are so necessary. You may draw any conclusions you wish. 8-)

>(And at least I know how to be succinct and brief.)

You were right to give up expecting others to implement your preferences;
but wrong to award yourself writing plaudits.

Below are the four modest questions that elicited Max's response.
