I don't mean to be contentious (or maybe I do, but bear with me) but 
isn't a non-news-driven site by its definition not a newspaper?

Newslink has a pretty good list of college sites, a bit dated, the last 
time I checked.  
I, of course, think that my students are producing a good site -- pretty 
anyway-- (www.cwu.edu/~observer) but I'd like to think that it is 
news-driven. At least that would be the goal.
