 Yes, I got an email that pointed me to a site that had about 12
 photographs of various rapes, alleged to have been part of the riot, I do
 not have resources to confirm, I am not a reporter and have no desire
 to be, but was very disturbing. Allegations were the rapes were
 perpetrated mainly against Chinese Indonesian women.  
 
 	As for AP, REUTERS and UPI, well lets just say, the lack of
 coverage by these services is why I make sure sites like SCMP, HK
 STANDARD, etc are part of our search engine.  These are sites that don't
 rely soley on wires to report actions in that part of the world, but cover
 them directly.
 
 	Yes, it amazed me watching the US coverage of the riots
 especially when placed side by side to coverage from sources in the
 region a definate night and day, I guess
 there are too many flower children still hanging around in the media to
 accept that Indonesia is a none to nice state, probably explains why the
 genocide that has been going on in East Timor for a long time never got
 major play either.  
 
 
                   Oh well, maybe someone can confirm or deny these
 	          allegations.
