Hello! This is Janis Mara, a longtime lurker on this listserv, emerging
from the shadows to tell you about a contest sponsored by my new employer.

		The WELL Online Writing Contest

The WELL, described by Wired Magazine in 1997 as the world's most
influential online community, is holding a contest to find the best
writing on the Internet.
The contest covers four categories: online news and journalism,
conversational posts, online fiction and best web writing using
hyperlinks. The judges are a panel of the 13-year-old organization's
best-known writers. Any original piece written for the Internet is
eligible.
Deadline: Oct. 1. The best overall piece wins $500. For more
information or to submit a piece, visit:

		 http://www.well.com/contest

Thanks, all!
