There was a good commentary on a Mexican TV station about the situation and how
Mexico has handled similar situations which all but one of the last six
presidents were involved.  The Mexican public almost never let what they
consider private personal matters be mixed with a persons public life. Although
all the scandals that Mexican presidents were involved in became common
knowledge they were never seen as a reason to leave office. A good subject for
gossip but nothing more. Mexico's last president Salines de Gortari divorced his
wife and married his mistress. They have two children. No deniability there.
