I know you guys are basically just giving your own interpretations here, but
here is mine: the Calif Px conversation does have a depth that I do not so
often notice in Boston. They have people in the course who have been there for
3, 4, 5, 6 years, and that makes a difference. It makes a difference in that I
heard invented language more often at the weekends there.  I am not saying
good or bad, some of both depending on who you are, but I have missed the old-
soulness of that conversation there and I imagine it may take a year or two
more until Boston deveops that "elderness" of the California group. Have at me
if you wish (fc,aa), but that is just my take on it.  (And, of course, I Don't
Know, and this says more about me as Alien than the course as Alien.)
