The surveys I am aware of put the percentage of Americans with Internet
access at about 10 to 15 percent, so I am, well, wary (and weary) of polls.
However, the case could be made that people who have fewer resources (we
called them "poor" when I was a kid) are too busy working or being
exhausted to vote. Anyone aware of demographics about this (or past)
elections where the total number of eligible voters, the total number of
registered voters, and the total number of people who actually voted was
broken down solely by financial status? I would think that there would be a
correlation between increased income and increased voter turnout, but
that's only intuited and not derived from any empirical info (unless you
count those psychology courses in college).
