O.K., By what definition of OPEN does Adobe consider PDF
(a proprietary, licensed, unpublished standard) an OPEN
protocol like TCP/IP, HTML, and SGML?
Would someone PLEASE provide me a pointer to detailed protocol
specifications and reference implementations in source code?
I have to support about 7 different platforms from origination to
final browser. I can get implementations for the other OPEN standards
mentioned above, but NOT for PDF?
Adobe has twice sent me e-mail claiming that PDF was open, but neither
time did they provide a reference to the requested documentation.
