It is interesting to see what a newspaper or radio will do to a story
after seing it in a realtime environment.

[Real-Time]
Microsoft Announces Delay in Windows 95
..Microsoft announced today that Windows 95 will be later than expected...
..

[Newspaper/TV/Radio]
Microsoft Late Again
.. Microsoft announced today that Windows 95 will be later than expected...
Our Financial Analyst says...
The CEO of Lotus says (good, maybe we can get Notes out before they
release exchange...)
Spokesman from Novell says... (if they had used a REAL operating system
like UNIX...)
S&P Analysts dropped their earnings estimates 2% ...
Bill Gates says... (but the new improved version will be BETTER than NT!)
The CEO of CompUSA says... (now I'm REALLY PISSED, I was counting on that
for 2nd quarter)...
Three beta-testers said (The Beta Version isn't as buggy as Windows 3.1)
14 Applications developers have developed products for Windows 95...
(whenever it comes OUT)...
Microsoft is the Leading Manufacturer of PC Operating systems

Notice, there is no editorial opion, just quotes from reputable sources.
The fact that the reputable sources might have an opinion, within their
commentary is coincidental.

A 20 line story on DJ BroadTape turns into a 400 line story in the Wall
Street Journal. It becomes two 400 line stories in the Times. The Times
can get 2 pages out of discovering that Newt Gingrich paid $100/month (as
much as he paid for laundry) in child support. The Journal will include
the full text of a "Family Values" speech given the following day.

There's what happened, and there's the interpretation of what happened.
LOTS of interpretations. :-).

Could you imagine what would happen if every web server that also routed
traffic for alt.sex.bondage were suddenly shut down. You could isolate
any server, just by selectively shutting down their routers.
