As I said earlier, we chose UNIX as a platform because we knew we
could migrate from a PC/Linux system up to an alpha then to a Pyramid
or even a "Thinking Machines" box (about 400 processors and drives
working together).
WindowsNT is supposed to be scalable too. Unfortunately I don't get
source code that can be shuffled around, and I don't have people who
can tune the operating system to my system's needs.
Last report I had was that Exchange "forms" api's still hadn't been
released, and may be abandoned altogether in favor of the Mosaic CGI
interface. I'm sure we'll be hearing this breakthrough announcement
any day now.
