First of all, you want to gif the full url as "http://www.startribune.com"

It's good a good mix of context sensitive pictures, text readable menus
and several tags to catch the readers attention.  You might want to include
an opening sentence or opening paragraph.

  The "reality check" piece was cute.  Interesting that we spend less than
5% of our labor force on agriculture (direct farming).  Even most of that
is the lowest paying work (due primarily to government provisions).  In most
communist countries telephones and fax machines were licensed and carefully
monitored.

You need to add a "search-engine" that can be used to search content.  This
should give users a mix of content and advertising keyed as relevant to 
the reader.  Weave outside home-pages (Advertizing) with your content.
