WORK EXPERIENCE:
02/95 - date: Technical Consultant, Bedford Associates, Inc.
(IT division of British Airways, Plc), Norwalk, CT.
Lotus Notes application development, setting up Notes servers
in UNIX, Windows, OS/2 environment, setting up notes
clients; designed and implemented Lotus Notes network on
a WAN; certifying, cross certifying notes servers, user
ID's. Managed projects for clients. Involved in all
phases of application development, including design,
development and roll-out. Developed applications using
Notes FX for the financial department of a Fortune 500
company. Also Designed and implemented a case
management tool developed in notes for the fraud
control department of the same company. Developed
applications using Lotus Vip, Visual Basic, Borland Delphi.
Programmed in Oracle 7.1, Foxpro 2.5 to migrate database
(for faster access and import time) from MS Access 2.0.
Currently as a side project, am working on designing and
creating a World Wide Web (html) page.
03/94 - 01/95: Graduate Assistant, Grants Office, University of
Bridgeport. Conducted research on various federal, state
and industry funded projects and grants. Managed accounts for
NSF, NAFSA, ARPA, U.S. Dept. of Defense, U.S. Dept. of
Education funded projects at the University. Wrote business
proposals and statistical and analytical reports. Prepared
annual budget for the Grants Office and the Academic Resource
Center. Reported daily to the Vice-Provost, University of
Bridgeport. Conducted student and faculty performance and
satisfaction evaluation.
05/93 - 07/93: Junior Field Engineer, Halliburton Logging Services Inc.,
Bombay, India. Represented the company on an oil rig. Mapped
oil wells (offshore), for productivity and profitability.
Interacted with clients (Oil and Natural Gas Commission, India)
and rig crew, during every phase (drilling, casing, tubing,
cementing, boring) of oil well repair and development. Crisis
management and control.
PROJECTS:
o Design and implementation of a client/server program in `C'
using UNIX sockets to communicate between remote systems.
o Design and implementation of a relational database for
University admissions department, and the University Library,
using the DBMS, dbase IV.
o Design of LAN with WAN connection and IP numbering.
