It NEVER stops!

Forget what it said in your settlement, your decree, or any other 
postnuptual you may have.

If the states can retroactively decide that you haven't paid enough based 
on retroactive imputed income, she will ALWAYS be able to come back for 
what you "owe" her.

When you've paid 100% of your income for the best 20 years of your 
career, when you have no assets, when you have no retirement plan, 
pension, or annuities....  When they burn you in the public incinerator 
and dump your ashes in an unmarked grave.  THEN its OVER.
