What would be the chances of getting Dole to balance the ticket with
Keyes as the VP candidate. Most people remember Alan Keyes as the
candidate who was arrested because the TV Station wouldn't let him
participate in a public debate.
I believe it was the ultra-conservative Rutledge who said "Mister Adams,
I don't agree with anything you say, but I will Fight to the DEATH your
right to say it". He didn't sighn the Declaration of Independence, but
he enlisted in the Continental Army to show his support.
Alan Keyes might be an excellent "Balance" candidate. He could bring in
single fathers, blacks, and moderate democrats who have been betrayed by
Bill Clinton's contempt for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
