Regarding this:
No, Rex...I don't want more details. As someone who has participated in est
and LEC for twenty years, who has been a Seminar Leader and an Advanced
Course leader, etc. etc., I don't need details...especially details that are
filled with inaccuracies (as your posts have been) regardless of the well
meaning intent that underlies them.
What I was *hoping* is that you would *hear* and be *responsive to* the
concerns that I expressed regarding your communication which, given your
response, you clearly did not.
It seems now obvious to me that you will have to learn *for yourself* how
your speaking affects others...particularly people who have not participated
with Landmark. I will, therefore, leave you in *their* listening.
I want to apologize for being such a brute (or bitch...choose whichever). I
meant what I said; however, I'm not at all happy about the way I said it. I
really do understand that you have nothing but good intentions when you speak
about these matters. And it is and was not my intention to "squash" you in
the process of dealing with some of the things that you said.
In the matter of my responses to your posts on the newsgroup, what I really
attempted to do, the success of which (or not) is really irrelevant, is to
point out (before anyone else did) aspects of your communications that did
not work. I'm pretty sure that if I had not spoken first, the response to
your posts would have been much more brutal than mine were.
I think you have a lot to contribute. And I would not sleep well tonight if
I did not at least make some attempt to let you know that, while I stand by
my opinion that your communications have some flaws, I *do* know that your
heart is in the right place and, after all, that is what is important. We
all have to make mistakes as we learn to speak effectively about the things
that are important to us.
So, whether or not you accept my apology for my e-mail response to you,
please do know that I have extended it authentically and wholeheartedly.
Warm regards,
Sam
