Dear Syracuse OnLine Visitor,

You've visited Syracuse OnLine in the past, so I wanted to tell you
about changes. This week, we upgraded Syracuse OnLine software. Syracuse
OnLine content areas you visit may have new URLs, and you may need to
update a bookmark. The home page stays the same --
http://www.syracuse.com -- with all the new links.

We also added useful, new services, including weather reporting. We
pointed a video camera at Clinton Square, so no matter where you are,
you can see if it's sunny, snowy or rainy in Syracuse. We added a
five-day forecast for Syracuse and 800 cities around the globe,
satellite photos and more. Just follow the link from the home page or go
directly to http://www.syracuse.com/weather/ .

We created some permanent exhibits -- most notably, the Safe Haven
story. (The URL is http://www.syracuse.com/safehaven/ ). It reports how
the United States saved a token number of WWII refugees from the
Holocaust and put them in a military base on the shore of Lake Ontario
near Syracuse. Our friends at New World Media in Fair Haven (
http://www.embark.com/ ) and on the Safe Haven volunteer board of
directors worked hard on this story.

Over the summer, we added a Central New York High School Reunion
forum, a New York Lotto database, a daily gallery of photojournalism and
more. Until Sept. 2, we feature the New York State Fair. Until Sept. 7,
put your own name in an interactive cartoon and e-mail it to friends.
Coming soon, look for improved Syracuse University sports areas,
including discussion areas.

We send these notices rarely -- only when something important changes.
That said, if you don't want this kind of message again, please follow
the instructions below. Thanks for using Syracuse OnLine.

Sincerely,
Stan Linhorst
