For 16 months, NewsLink has been sampling readers' opinions
about which online publications they visit most often. This isn't a 
popularity poll or a contest but rather an assessment of what people 
say they actually are reading. 

Because the results we report represent a weighted average of
sentiments expressed over the most 12 months, typically there's been
little change for month to month.

This month, however, our regular update sees quite a reordering of
the list.

Among the notables departing are four pioneers -- HotWired, C|Net
Online, Boston.Com and NandO.Net. And we see the arrival of four
relatively new sites -- the Los Angeles Times, Washington Post,
Jerusalem Post and Christian Science Monitor.

Perhaps significantly, we note that as time has passed the
percentage of newspapers vis-a-vis networks and magazines on the Top
10 list has been rising.
