Hello,

My name is Ray Gabriel, located in the US. I started electronic publishing
in 1989 when we published a series of databases on floppy disks for Mac and
IBM PCs. There wasn't enough demand so we discontinued that a couple of
years later.

Currently, we are re-entering the electronic publishing arena with an
international newsletter for small businesses distributed by e-mail called
"A Serious Business". Nothing fancy, but packed with short, informative
articles, how-tos and tips & tricks to help small businesses get the most
from limited funds.

Our first issue goes out in early September and we already have  subscribers
in 35 countries. 

Our format contains no graphics and can get into markets that more artfully
done pubs. might not reach. This may change as the makeup of the Internet
and the Web change, though. 

1. We are currently looking for short articles and brief how-tos to pass
along to our readers. While we are not yet in a position to pay for these,
we do give full credit and there is a competition in each issue for the best
submission which receives a US$100. prize. No big deal, but it's something.

2. I would be happy to send a 1 year/12 issue subscription free to
Online News list subscribers. Simply send me e-mail with your e-mail
address, your "country" (ie, "US", "CA", etc.)and "Online News". 

We also have a web site at http://earthone.com with details of "A Serious
Business", sample copies (when available), a link page to international
business resources and a Success! page where we plan to feature stories of
successful businesses around the world in a graphic format.

I have been in communications and publishing for over 30 years and I haven't
seen anything so exciting as the rise of electronic publishing. Imagine  . .
. being able to reach every country on earth with just a simple push of a
computer key . . . in seconds (on a good day). Or have it up on the Web
where anyone, anywhere can see it 24 hours per day. One of our sites we
developed has  had visitors from over 40 countries!

I'm sure this list will grow exponentially as folks find it and realize the
potential for electronic publishing and electronic advertising in it's many
forms.
