Wanted: Managing Editor for Knight-Ridder's New Media Center in Silicon
Valley. We're looking for an imaginative, experienced editor with a  track
record of guiding the production of  distinguished on-line communication. We
want someone who understands and can further the art of communicating in a
non-linear fashion, an experienced journalist who is intimately acquainted
with the tools and trends of this emerging field and is passionate about its
future. We want a proven risk-taker and a skillful teambuilder. This person
will report to the editorial director/new media, helping to create new
on-line content areas and  aiding in the supervision of Knight-Ridder's

Valley. We're looking for imaginative, experienced designers/editors with
track records of producing distinguished on-line pages. Flexibility and
solid news judgment will be called for, in equal parts. We want people who
are toolmakers, not just tool users. We want standard setters, not copycats.
Must be expert in HTML and Photoshop. Experience in Director and other
multimedia applications is desirable. You'll reports to Art Director Bill
