Sorry, I must disagree with your taxonomy here. One, the mailing list
is available to anyone who wants on, as far as I can tell, so it's
hardly private.  Two, our messages are visible to any Web user, over
at http://www.planetarynews.com/o-n.html ... which means, I believe/suspect,
they're also likely to be indexed in AltaVista et al.  That's about as
publicly available as Fabio's chest muscles.  :-)

Check for yourself in AltaVista (name, email-id, and URL, in separate
searches) sometime, for an enlightening experience.  Finding out
who points to you, and also who's stashed copies of your stuff, is
instructive.
