     Internet producer/columnists
     
     Join the hardest working band in the business! Rub elbows with famous 
     columnists. The Chicago Tribune needs an Internet producer:
     
     Responsible for creating, then maintaining, home pages and associated 
     Internet sites on the World Wide Web for the Chicago Tribune's staff 
     columnists.  This editor will work closely with each individual 
     columnist to determine the content of these sites, gathering and/or 
     producing supplementary material on behalf of the columnists, and 
     assisting them in creating dialogues with and between their readers.  
     Must possess a working knowledge of the Internet, the World Wide Web, 
     America Online, and basic electronic publishing tools; and basic 
     editing skills.  Familiarity with Hypertext Markup Language and of 
     programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator; knowledge of a wide 
     variety of possible sources of information; and the ability to work 
     productively under intense deadline pressure are prerequisites.  This 
     position will include night, weekend, and holiday work, since many 
     news columns are produced on deadline.
