I agree, the posts did evolve into interesting threads.

But they did so from AR-centric roots. The number of newspapers that are
text-only or focused on an audience of blind readers is small. The
scrolling thread has become a discussion of interesting anecdotes. But
it's origin was a post about "AR stats" in which there was no information a
that could be extended to other publications.

That is a classic example of offering surriptitious posts. The "statistics"
applied only to your publication, and you offered no explanation how they
might be relevant to others... Likewise, your methods were not described,
and I am left to assume they were gathered by a biased source (you). I
have no idea whether they were for one day or for a week or a month... etc.

Not enough information-- or worse, selected information... In that form,
the information does more of a disservice than a service.

Please, in these cases, offer a little more info and some disclaimers...
Try to think critically and consider the artifacts caused by your method.

Keep in mind I don't have a beef with you, but with this practice of
posting w/o conscience. I've seen others do this recently and I only ask
that people be more *careful*.

As for the KR topics, I'm afraid I don't know anything about the issue you
are referring to. Sounds like you may want to consider contacting the
people directly involved--which I assume to be at Presslink.

nuff said.
