One thing that we've found useful is the Glidepoint Trackpad, a little
device that replaces the mouse with a touch-sensitive pad. One of our
editors says "that thing has been a miracle for me." (I regard it as a
Tool of the Devil -- I can't get it to work.)
We also have electrically operated ergonomic desks. Letting the user
tailor the workstation to his or her personal needs and dimensions is
really important.
