Herb,

Maybe we're just lucky, but in our Electronic Media department of 8.5
staffers we've had only one with RSI problems ... me. Fortunately it was
diagnosed as tendinitis, not carpal tunnel.

I got sent to a specialist where I got the diagnosis, a 10-day course of
non-steroidal anti-inflammatories and wrist splints. Back at the office,
my boss got me a Microsoft split keyboard. Those measures and an
occasional shot of Alleve keep my tendinitis under control.

Virtually everybody else in our department is either fairly young (early
20s) or not constantly using the keyboard and mouse. I strongly
recommend both the wrist splints and the Microsoft Natural Keyboard. We
also have adjustable keyboard/mouse trays and good, adjustable chairs.
