I did some double checking on the service. Social security numbers will no
longer be displayed with the information.

I also misread the original message and thought that the reference to
credit card numbers meant they were included in the information
provided--much like a credit bureau.

So basically the service provides information in order to track down people.

Given the almost weekly shows about credit card fraud, check fraud,
identity fraud, and so on, I am finding myself increasingly uncomfortable
transacting business. So far, I guess I give the nod to credit cards over
checks in that I am protected beyond $50.
