I was wondering if those of you on this list who are involved in online
newspaper projects would share a bit of staffing information; that is, how
many full-time, technical people do you have?

I'll share our bit:  apart from the software developers at the
Knight-Ridder New Media Center, we have two system administrators and me,
the software development manager.

I'm asking for pretty selfish reasons, of course:  I want to hire more
technical people, and I understand that other online newspaper operations
have much deeper technical resources than we do.
