Much as we hate to admit it, this may be very true on a day-to-day basis.
Still there is something about a newspaper and the habitual readership of
it that goes beyond these. After all, if all people wanted were these
things, they could easily get them somewhere else. The capacity for a
"daily surprise" element is one that cannot be underestimated in
determining what goes into habitual readership, even if the "surprise"
element is read only occasionally.
