How the Web Was Won
Subject: announcement: e-tour, new British magazine on the Web From: bibiotech mail Date: Mon, 22 Jan 1996 16:58:15 +0100

Hi

I would be interested to receive any comments or advice on our new
electronic magazine *e-tour*.

http://www.poptel.org.uk/bibliotech/e-tour/index.html

It has been coded pretty much for the Netscape browser. However, I have
tried as far as possible to use the ALT code for all images.

It is a prototype at the moment and should get sharper in terms of content
as well as its interactive aspects.

I would also be grateful to anyone who might be willing to link to us
reciprocally

PRESS RELEASE - HOXTON BIBLIOTECH
===========================================================================

e-tour, East London's first interactive e-zine, has arrived on the Web.

Bringing local writers and artists to a wider audience, as well as looking
to the experiences of communities all over the world, it aims to square the
circle of a local publication with an international reach.

Including features, news and listings, e-tour draws as much on the
contribution of its readers as its editorial team. As it grows, it is hoped
that it will become less a one way channel for information and
entertainment and more a forum, a shared space.

This month's issue includes articles on the visual arts, cinema,
literature, poetry, and features an independent gay and lesbian section.
Over the months, more categories will be added, as well as writing from
Europe and America.

With sharp prose and an arresting visual style, it should be worth
bookmarking - no matter where you come from.
