Prodigy just posted an announcement that I thought might provoke some
comment from list members,

"Cox Newspapers and Prodigy Services Company said that, on Sunday, March 13
they will launch Access Atlanta, a local interactive network that joins
Atlantans in a new community -- an electronic neighborhood where they can
discuss issues, catch up on the latest news (including lots of stories
that never appear in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution), check local reference
guides for everything from county recycling schedules to the MARTA rapid-
transit map, find classified ads with photos, and browse ads from local
merchants."

Perhaps use of a familiar platform, like Prodigy, and one that already
has one of the larger percentages of women members (cf. earlier postings
from a Washington Post article) will help broaden the market for newspapers
on line?
