Real dumb. Imagine, hiring the editor of the biggest circulation magazine in
the country to head your online operation. What possible connection could
there be between online efforts and a highly successful publication that
features incredibly high market penetration of online's target market -
sitting in more living rooms and dens than any other publication - an
effective mix of editorial, advertising, and customized database listings
published on a weekly schedule; and widespread, grassroots distribution.

What could the man have been thinking of?
