Trying to head off a Unix vs. Windows vs. Mac debate......

There's no question that a _robust_ distributed, internetworked computing
environment comparable to the Internet could not have been created
without something like Unix, at least today. I can't imagine today's
environment of 5,000,000 Internet hosts running on some variety of System
7.x or DOS or especially Windows..... Imagine running the phone system
on Windows....? I can't. (Note: I am not technically trained.)

It's true that the GUI makes the Web sing, but that's not "Windows."
