So you think (Microsoft) Windows will become the dominant applications
environment? I guess I do feel the same way, for the reasons you
indicate. At a conference last August, I asked a guy from EIT the same
thing. I said you're developing this great applications package for Unix,
and the dominant computing environment (whether you like it or not) is
Windows. He said that sophisticated publishers aren't afraid of Unix. I
said the momentum of the desktop- workgroup computing environment is
Windows.... 'Course he had an SGI Indy box at home.

It's certainly the case that organizations are seriously adopting Windows
NT for servers, and for Internet servers.

Because I am still ever learning about the technical, I guess the
Unix-led tcp/ip, http environment will probably always be the
internetworking foundation, regardless of the top level user and
usability tools to make that network sing with interesting
applications..... and all that porn :) .
