I hope this is not too off-topic, but I would love to get feedback from
this esteemed group. If you can refer me a better source, please feel
free to do so. Here's my request:

	I am at the final budget proposal stage for developing a primarily-
volunteer-based/innovation-team-kinda-thing new product development lab
at my newspaper. I would love to get some examples of any new media
products which have been developed at other local or regional
newspapers - especially those that have generated revenue. 
	I am not interested in big online publishing ventures - that is a
separate budget request at present - or telephone - we already do
telephone - but anything that repurposes existing resources, brings
together outside information for local marketing, or does something you
could never do in print would be appreciated.  I'm interested in
everything from multimedia to print to commercial web sites - basically
any new products you have developed without hiring more than 1 or 2 new
people - the sort of stuff that takes a lot of creativity and talent
rather than a lot money. I have several ideas in the works, but some
examples from other publications would be very helpful. Thanks.
