NAA has just published a new report called "Opportunities in Anarchy: A
Blueprint for Building Online Services."  The report is based on a
brainstorming session held in March with members of NAA's Board Committee on
Industry Development and much original research by the New Media Department.
 It includes chapters on the value of the local franchise; overviews of
interactive advertising, content, and competition; descriptions and analysis
of business models from most of the major national online services, local BBS
systems and Web services; a list of major Web servers; a "wired worksheet"
for publishers who are developing plans for an online service and more.

Also, belated thanks to all on this listserv who provided suggestions for
CONNECTIONS sessions and speakers.  The event was a big hit (more than 600
