Well actually, it is about faulty methodology, along with faulty reporting,
BOTH of which gored our oxe. And we make no apologies for being partisan -
we just don't let it interfere with getting the facts correct. We've just
posted Mike Godwin's first person account of his encounters with Marty
Rimm, the author of the study, and the writer and reporters on the Time
story before it was published. We've also added most of a remarkable
discussion on the WELL where other journalists helped to tear apart the
Time story.

We'll be adding more soon. Martin Rimm, the author of the study, has quite
a colorful past, as the folks at the Atlantic City Press, among others,
have pointed out. I'm guessing that thoses of you who teach ethics at
journalism schools will soon be adding the Time "Cyberporn" cover story to
your list of case studies of classic screw-ups.
