              <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

                   (New release: March 31, 1995)

The handbook is out in its eleventh release. Version 2.0 can be retrieved
by modem from services around the world, including from the book's World
Wide Web server at

    http://login.eunet.no/~presno/index.html

Since the last release in January, it has strengthened focus on resources
in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

The changes and additions continue to reflect Internet's strong growth in
the number of service providers, offerings, and users, and extended global
contents.

Most Internet links have been changed to URLs in preparation for an online
hypertext version scheduled to be released in a few weeks.

Electronic news is exploding. You can get broadcasting schedules for news
in many languages, and access to a large number of U.S. newspapers,
broadcast networks, magazines and publishers on the World Wide Web. You can
even browse the tables of contents of the top English language magazines
for computers, sports, electronic & computer games, music & entertainment
before buying.

The global focus is expanded with round the world travel guides, maps,
flags, subway navigation in several cities, travel handbooks, travel health
information, and offerings of virtual visits to European cities.

The business man will appreciate the hypertext guide to resources on
International Affairs, the reports on worldwide business practices, the
Zagreb Stock Exchange, and the service offering interactive, live chats in
private virtual meeting rooms on the net. We also points to a new Russian
news sources, and an Asian online business magazine.

One service offers searching in over 100 computer publications, 10,000
Internet newsgroups, and 200,000 World Wide Web pages. Another operates
a free distribution service for newsletters on the Internet.

Those looking for information about AIDS, diabetes, the chronic fatigue
syndrome, and other medicine-related topics have many new pointers to
browse. For educational purposes, check out the 3-dimensional digitized
images of the human body.

Finally, there are: Resource for Macintosh users. Database with information
on various disciplines of engineering. A new address to the WWW by email
service. Penthouse Magazine, Playboy, Porsche cars, Sony's music and
movies. Europe Online S.A.

It sure does not stand still!

Adapted print versions of the book is available in English (in Canada),
German (in Germany), and Norwegian. Print versions focusing on Australia,
Finland, Spain, Iceland, and Denmark will be published shortly.
