You can write to most listservs, with no subject line, and the message:

send global


to get a list of just about all of the listservs on the net.

If you want a larger list, including both listservs and mailing lists from
other software (majordomo, listproc, etc.), send a letter to:

mail-server@sri.com

No subject.

Body of message:      send interest-groups


Now stand back at least three feet from the terminal.  You've just=20
requested the List of Lists.
