Virginia,

Thank you for returning my e-mail. We are both interesting people,
unfortunately, one of the factors that makes us each interesting is that
we care deeply about many interesting people and there's little left for
the personal, intimate, romantic needs of the heart.

I hope your father is doing well. Good fortune (you don't need luck, but
you want to always be able to see the opportunities that are there all
the time, waiting for you to pick them up. I hope that your work can
really make a difference in the lives of the "at risk" women you are
researching. It is work that is desparately needed, especially in the
hispanic, black, and poor white communities. It would be great to see
some real breakthroughs in that domain.

Have you ever been to a shelter? If you have the stomach for it, this is
the place for real P.H.D. work. You can't get a much better laboratory
than real life on the front lines of the "battlefield". It is sometimes
refered to as the path of the budda. Ghandi followed it an it altered
the nature of human history.

Keep writing when you can, I'll think of you and your work as I go about
serving my little corner of humanity in my simple way. The best
blessings God has to offer should come to you.
