Common Ground Software Announces New
Common Ground Internet Publisher Product

Belmont, CA --April 10, 1995 -- Common Ground(TM) Software, (formerly No
Hands Software) today announced its new Common Ground Internet
Publisher software for publishing graphical documents on World Wide Web
servers. The Common Ground Internet Publisher overcomes the display
limitations of HTML while providing industry-leading performance, fidelity
and portability.

Now, setting up and populating a Web site is easy--
Typically, documents are recreated in HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language)
for use on the Web, and the customized formats and distinctive fonts of the
original document are lost. In contrast, Common Ground Internet Publisher
retains all formatting, graphics and fonts, giving designers of Web document=
s
full control over page appearance.

With the Common Ground Internet Publisher, Web sites can be quickly
populated with standard HTML pages and existing legacy documents.
Product data sheets, corporate brochures and catalogs can be published
without changing their original image-- and without a time-consuming
conversion to HTML. The Common Ground Internet Publisher provides
integrated WWW access to HTML and legacy documents in Common Ground's
DigitalPaper(TM) file format, with URL (Universal Resource Locator)
link generation between Digital Paper or HTML documents.

The Common Ground Internet Publisher is compatible with NCSA HTTPD,
Netscape Netsite, CERN's Web server software, and other Web-site software
that conforms to the Common Gateway Interface (CGI) specification.

When retrieving DigitalPaper documents from the Common Ground Internet
Publisher, the Common Ground 2.0 ProViewer and MiniViewer work
transparently with Netscape 1.1, Spyglass and other Web browsers which
support "helper applications."

=46ast access to pages on demand
With Common Ground's new Page-on-Demand=81 technology, the Common Ground
Internet Publisher provides unsurpassed access speed and reduces network
traffic by eliminating unnecessary full-file downloads. Access to a single
page within a typical 10 page document is approximately 10 times faster
than
competing portable document distribution products. To save users even more
time while locating information, Common Ground Internet Publisher can also
provide an "HTML overview" page which summarizes each DigitalPaper
document. This page includes a "thumbnail" view of a document, a hypertext
table of contents, standard file information and user-supplied summary
information.

High-fidelity documents over the World Wide Web
Now, Windows and Macintosh clients can quickly search, view and print
documents on the Internet. Clients see documents as they were created to
appear--at any resolution--even without the creation application or fonts.
With the enhanced fidelity features of Common Ground 2.0, all fonts are
resolution-independent and automatically anti-aliased to provide the
highest-available fidelity for document and image control for published Web
documents.

=46or organizations with internal Web sites, the Common Ground Internet
Publisher provides security features for access control.

"With the Common Ground Internet Publisher, setting up a WWW site has
become radically easier, page access is many times faster -and our brochures=
,
administration policy manuals, enrollment applications, etc. maintain their
look and fidelity." said Craig Moore at Stanford University. "This is what
we have been looking for."

Pricing and Availability
Common Ground Internet Publisher includes server software, the Common
Ground 2.0 Maker, the ProViewer with URL link generation, and the HTML
Overview application for creating HTML overview pages. The Common Ground
Internet Publisher's server software runs on Sun's SunOS 4.1.3 and Solaris
2.4.
The ProViewer package is supported on Windows and Macintosh platforms.
Common Ground Internet Publisher is expected to ship in May 1995 at a
suggested retail price of $1495. The Common Ground 2.0 MiniViewer is
distributed free-of-charge. Support for Unix clients is planned for a
subsequent
release.

Common Ground Internet Publisher is available worldwide through VARs and
systems integrators. Contact Common Ground Software for information on local
resellers, network pricing, volume purchases, or publishing licenses.
