Much discussion has been devoted to the topic of what on-line 
publications should or will be like. 

In an attempt to get a handle on these questions, I'm working on a new 
survey of on-line readers. The design is not yet final, and I would 
appreciate any insight/responses that interested journalists, readers and 
researchers might offer.
