I'm trying to resolve conflicts with three slip/ppp windows
applications that issue API calls to winsock.dll.
Anyone have any idea of how to configure a common TCP/IP stack
in Windows using winsock.dll that would allow three different programs to
use the same configuration?
One is Custom, part of netmanage's Chameleon package, the second
is NetLauncher from CompuServe, and Newsmaker, a Harris Corp. front end
system for newspaper publishing.
Each version apparently uses a slightly different winsock.dll
that is not compatible with the others... which means really cumbersome
configuration of two partitions on the hard drive... a separate Windows
system for one for the Harris system, and the other Windows system for
Netmanage.
My service provider is not much help and suggested there should
be no difference in any of the winsock files. However, that is not true.
Any ideas? E-mail direct, please
If I get enough response I will summarize to list.
