I pointed Internet Assistant and my 14.4K modem at

Maybe my modem is too slow, and maybe my browser is too clunky, but this was
the worst experience I've ever had trying to access a web site.

The initial page was filled with pictures of buttons, pointing to the next
level of a hierarchy. It took in excess of five minutes to load. I clicked a
button, and after another long delay -- these delays were uninterruptible,
by the way -- I got to a similar menu, filled with similar pictures.

Still hoping to find useful information, or to get to a URL I could access
directly next time, I proceeded down the hierarchy. This time Internet
Assistant choked and died. It claimed that I had run out of memory.

I have little experience designing web pages, but I wouldn't design one that
way. I think that you should use graphics sparingly and that you should make
viewing most of them optional, even for viewers running in graphics mode. ...RM
