I have been told by Shawna that we have less than 30 days before the
next earnings period. By that time, we must have in place a reliable
mechanism for capturing the data from PR Newswire, Business Wire, and
Canadian News Wire. In addition, we will not be able to get
retransmissions from any of these services.

I reccomend the following urgent mechanisms:
	Immediate solution:

1 Pentium 90 or better PC running SCO SvR4 Unix
as a "Data Recorder", this will be a reliable
"fallback" and can be used to "replay" data
into the existing feeds. We should start with
2 1 Gigabyte SCSI drives which should be
sufficient to store redundant copies 30 days
worth of all 3 feeds. The application will be
a simple serial line recorder with a "bucket
			brigade transfer to the vax.
We should use a Boca-Board Multiport serial card.
			Cost - $4000.

	Intermediate solution:
		1 Windows/NT Server on a Pentium 90 or Better
Vic Parekh has a background on Windows NT and
may be able to create a reliable feed handler
running under this "preferred platform". If
not, the PC can be converted to SCO Unix. If
a working NT solution can be created, the
SCO/Unix box can be converted to an NT.
