Two articles of interest on Electronic Payment Systems for use on the
WWW have recently been published in McGraw-Hill magazines. The issue
of secure electronic payment is a significant issue for anyone
conducting business over the net. The articles are as follows:

1. "A Transaction Revolution?", Technology and You section, Business
Week, June 5, 1995. Page 21. Describes transaction handling
capabilities of First Virtual and NetBill.

2. "Cash on the Wirehead", BYTE Magazine, June 1995. Page 71-78.
This article has an excellent comparison chart describing method,
strengths, weaknesses, suitability for application, risks to merchant
and customer, costs, etc. It compares Cybercash, Digicash, Open
Market, Wave Meter, First Data/Netscape, and First Virtual.
